FAQ
Common questions
Answers to what people usually ask before they check their eligibility.
Does checking my eligibility affect my credit score?
No. The first check uses only what you tell us — no credit bureau is contacted, so nothing is recorded against you. You can run it as often as you like.
Who decides whether I get a loan?
The lender you choose. We check eligibility rules and show you the offers, but the lender makes the final decision on their own criteria.
What does Har Ghar LMI charge me?
Nothing. The lender pays us a commission when a loan we introduced is disbursed. It is not added to your loan, not deducted from what you receive, and does not change your instalment.
Can I see the full cost before I commit to anything?
Yes. Before anything is sent to a lender, you see a Key Facts Statement with the all-in annual rate including fees and the total you will repay. You read it, then you decide.
What happens to a hard credit check?
It only ever runs after you give explicit consent for the named bureau — never as part of the free first check, and never without you knowing which bureau.
Is investing or insurance available yet?
Not yet — see the Investments and Insurance pages for what has to happen before they can launch. We would rather tell you that than sell you something we cannot yet offer.
